Per sandwich

2 slices bacon or ham
2 slices mozzarella or Swiss cheese
Sour cream
Tomato paste
Bread
Oregano

Spread sour cream and tomato paste on bread and sprinkle on a little oregano to flavor

Fry bacon or ham and put it between two slices prepared bread Butter the outside of the bread fry and eat



1 cup butter
1 12 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup quick cooking oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup white flour
12 cup wheat germ
4 teaspoons grated orange peel
4 eggs lightly beaten
2 cups whole almonds
1 cup chocolate chips
12 cup chopped dates
12 cup chopped dried apricots
12 cup shredded coconut

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F Cream butter with 1 cup brown sugar Stir in oats wheat flour white flour wheat germ and orange peel Press mixture into bottom of an ungreased 13 x 9inch baking pan

Combine eggs almonds chocolate chips dates apricots coconut and remaining 12 cup brown sugar Mix gently but thoroughly Pour over butter mixture Spread evenly in pan Bake 30 to 35 minutes and cool before cutting into bars



Peanut butter
Sliced bread
Butter
Chocolate chips optional

Spread peanut butter on one piece of bread and put another slice on top to make a sandwich Butter the outsides and cook on skillet until golden brown Flip and cook the other side

Chocolate chips can be added to the peanut butter if desired



2 pounds red potatoes quartered or cut into pieces
14 cup butter melted
2 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon seasoning salt

Combine butter garlic and seasoned salt in bowl and pour over cut potatoes Place seasoned potatoes into an 8inch or larger disposable aluminum pan and cover with foil or create your own aluminum packet from heavy duty foil wrap

Grill potatoes over medium heat 35 to 45 minutes stirring the potatoes in the pan or flipping the foil packet



Family size package 8 skinless chicken breasts
1 can sliced pineapple
1 12 ounce jar favorite barbecue sauce
Maraschino cherries

Place four chicken breasts on the bottom of a Dutch oven Use half of the sliced pineapple to place on top of the breasts pouring all the juice over the chicken Pour half of the barbecue sauce on top of the chicken Place another layer the remaining four breasts on top of the previous chickenpineapple layer Layer again with the remaining pineapple slices placing a cherry in the center of each pineapple slice Pour the remaining barbecue sauce on top Place the lid on the Dutch oven

Place the Dutch oven on the coals and cover the top of the oven with coals Cooking time is 30 to 45 minutes Remove lid and check at about 20 minutes When finished make sure that the chicken is thoroughly cooked before serving

Place the empty oven back on the coals to clean burn it out



Also known as hobo stew this is a good recipe for hikers and campers

Serves 4

4 1 pound metal coffee cans
1 pound ground beef
4 tomatoes sliced
1 can whole kernel corn drained
Salt and pepper
Butter or margarine
1 cup Bisquick
13 cup milk

Shape meat in 4 patties place 1 patty in each of 4 lightly greased coffee cans Top each patty with 3 tomato slices and 14 can of corn Salt and pepper and dot of margarine Cover each can with foil Place cans on grill 3 to 4 inches from coals Cook 20 to 30 minutes

Stir Bisquick and milk together Drop by spoonsul into each can Cook uncovered 10 minutes Cover then cook 10 minutes longer
