Located 2 miles north of the Laurel River Dam, Holly Bay is situated on the west side of Laurel River Lake. Both close to the water and set in a forested landscape, this campground is a popular stop because of the variety of activities it allows.
Many campers come here to boat, fish, swim and hike. There are several popular trails nearby, including the Cumberland Falls Trail, Twin Branch Trail and the Bark Camp Trail. The local Forest Service provides boat and canoe rides on Laurel River Lake.
Sites in the D and H loops are reservable from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance but must be made at least 3 days before your intended arrival date. All other sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
