Fales Flat is located at the base of Nez Perce Pass along the Nez Perce Fork of the Bitterroot River. It was probably used by the Nimipuu in their travels to the buffalo country in eastern Montana. Fales Flat Group Site will accommodate groups up to 100 and will also accommodate several large trailers or Recreation Vehicles. There are also a few individual sites and a horse group site not under reservation. This site has no water or garbage services. No golden age/access discounts for this site. For information on road or fire restrictions call: 406-821-3269 There is the potential for early May or late October snows blocking access to this site.

Directions (Google Directions):

From Darby Montana, go south on US Highway 93 for 4 miles to the West Fork Road, Montana State Highway 473. On West Fork Road, go just past mile marker 14 to Nez Perce Road #468. Turn west on Forest Road 468 and go about 12 miles to the campground. It is located at the beginning of the pavement going over Nez Perce Pass.
