Located near the shore of Flaming Gorge Reservoir at an elevation of 6100 feet, this area with its rolling hills has a high desert landscape with mainly pinyon pine, juniper and sagebrush.
The area is known not only for its beautiful and startling red cliffs, but also its world class fishing. Lake, brown and rainbow trout fishing, boating, swimming and scuba diving are also available at the reservoir. River rafting on the Green is also spectacular, with the red cliff walls rising on both sides.
The dam at the reservoir offers guided tours every hour of the working hydroelectric plant and the history of the area. The Fenley Dinosaur Area is also a popular attraction for those interested in learning the history of the area.
