Due to the pine beetle infestation and removal of hazard trees, there is little or no shade in the campground.
Located at an elevation of 9,000 feet, near Dillon Reservoir. Restrooms are provided. Afternoon thunderstorms are common, and snow is possible. Roads and spurs are not paved. There is a supply area nearby. You should have no body contact with the reservoir. There is a campground host on site. Loops A, B, and C are first-come, first-served campsites. They are not available for reservations. Loop D is 100 yards from the shore of Lake Dillon. Only a few sites have a very limited view of the lake. Keystone, Dillon, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Lake Dillon are nearby.
