Reunion Flat Campground is located in beautiful Teton Canyon at an elevation of approximately 6,500 feet. Pines and the occasional aspen partially shade the campground, and vibrant summer wildflowers fill the meadows. The towering Teton Range and Jedediah Smith Wilderness are adjacent to the canyon, offering excellent hiking, backpacking, and horseback riding. Trails begin just up-canyon at Teton Canyon Campground. Teton Creek runs alongside Reunion Flat, with great fishing for brook and Yellowstone cutthroat trout.
This campground provides vault toilets, potable water, and garbage service but no electricity. Three group sites are reservable, each with large picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and ample parking. Site A can accommodate up to 150 people people; Sites B and C 65 people each. Four additional single family sites are reservable as well, and can accommodate up to 8 people each. This is a fully accessible campground with new bathrooms and potable water for cooking and drinking. Roads and parking spurs within the site are gravel.
Popular activities in the area include the Teton Valley Summer Festival over the Fourth of July in Driggs, complete with a hot air balloon festival, parade, rodeo, bike races, and antique and craft booths. Grand Targhee Resort is nearby and hosts outstanding annual music festivals: Targhee Fest is in mid-July, and the Targhee Bluegrass Festival is in mid-August. The resort also offers lift-served hiking and mountain biking, scenic chair lift rides, guided horseback riding, a climbing wall, and an 18-hole disc golf course. A disc golf tournament is also held annually in late July. Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are both within a few hours drive.
