Campsites and the small picnic shelter are not reservable. The large shelter can be reserved from May 1 through September 30. The shelter is free, and first come, first served from January 1 through April 30 and October 1 through December 31. This campground is open year round.

From Interstate 64 on U.S. Rt. 60 at White Sulphur Springs, WV, take State Rt. 92 North, travel approx. 11 miles to Alvon. Turn onto State Rt. 16, travel approx. 4 miles to the Blue Bend Recreation Area.
