Located adjacent to Loon Lake, the campground is situated in a mixed coniferous forest with granite formations dotting the landscape. The Lake is at an elevation of 6500 feet with cold, crystal clear waters that make fishing and boating a great attraction. Other popular activities include horseback riding and four-wheeling.
There is firewood sold at the campground, but depending on weather conditions there may be fire restrictions. Contact the Eldorado Information Center at (530)644-6048 for local information and conditions.
Reservations are available from mid-June through Labor Day weekend. They can be made up to six months in advance for the single family sites and up to one year in advance for the group sites. Reservations must be made at least 3 days before your intended arrival date.
