The Big Creek horse camp is located on the east side of Great Smoky Mountains National Park and approximately 16 miles from Newport, TN. Park horse camps have few amenities but offer access to miles of horse trails.
Full service grocery stores and medical facilities are 16 miles away in Newport.
Please note that the campground was reconfigured in 2007. There are now 6 sites. Site 1 now incorporates the old sites 1 & 2; site 2, the accessible site, now incorporates the old sites 3 & 4; sites 3, 4, 5, and 6 were previously sites 5, 6, 7 and 8 respectively.
