Gill Point Recreation Area is a rural park on the northern end of J. Strom Thurmond Lake. The park is located off of Georgia State Highway 79. Gill Point Recreation Area is a wooded day-use area for boat launching with a courtesy dock, fishing, swimming and picnicking.
