Soapstone campground is located approximately 15 miles outside the town of Kamas, Utah, resting at an elevation of 8,200 feet. Nestled in the mountains and surrounded in a conifer and aspen forest on the banks of the Provo River, this campground is a perfect place to escape to.

Campers come here to hike, fish, and enjoy the beautiful mountain views of the surrounding canyons.

From Salt Lake City, Utah, take Highway 80 east for 30 miles to Highway 40. Go south on Highway 40 for 1 mile to Kamas exit. Go southeast on Highway 189 for 12 miles to Kamas. Turn east on Highway 150, travel 15 miles to campground.
