Bear Canyon Campground is located at an elevation of 8,000 feet and is situated at the base of the Mt. Nebo Wilderness area. The campground sits just off the Nebo Loop National Scenic Byway. Aspen and fir trees shade the campsites, and there is open grassy meadows and sporadic gamble oak.

This campground has 6 single sites that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The group sites are reservable and hold up to 50 or 75 people, depending on the site. There are plenty of activities nearby with hiking trails and open areas that are perfect for games and group activities.

Directions (Google Directions):

From Highway 15, at Nephi exit 225, go east on Highway 132 about 6 miles to the Scenic Byway. Turn left then go north 3.5 miles to the Bear Canyon turnoff. Follow to left, Ponderosa is 1/2 mile up Bear Canyon. The Bear Canyon Campground is located at the end of the road, past the Ponderosa Campground.
