Kings Creek Campground is located in a beautiful conifer forest at an elevation of 8,000 feet, and sits on the west side of Tropic Reservoir. Kings Creek is a great campground for ATV enthusiasts, with easy access to a large network of ATV trails, including Fremont ATV trail, which is within 1/4 mile of the campground, and the Great Western Trail. Hiking and mountain biking trails are plentiful as well, with access from various points within the campground. Tropic Reservoir is very close by, a boat ramp is within 1/2 mile of the campground, and there is good fishing for brook and rainbow trout, and occasionally brown and cutthroat. The East Fork of the Sevier River is nearby and offers fishing and other water sports opportunities. Kings Creek Campground is located 12 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park, and Kodachrome Basin State Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument are nearby as well.
Within Kings Creek Campground, only the group camping area is reservable. All individual sites are managed on a first-come, first-served basis. The group area is isolated from the main campground and provides privacy for group gatherings and events. The campground and Tropic Reservoir are reached via a well-maintained dirt road with good access for cars and trailers.
