Camp Details:

Located among mature aspen and conifer forests, Tasha Equestrian Campground sits at an elevation of 9,000 and is four miles north of Fish Lake. Tasha's high mountain setting is beautiful but remote, and is prone to rapid weather changes due to its elevation. Horse, hiking, biking and ATV trails are plentiful in the area.

This campground is fully equipped to handle horses, with corrals, loading ramps, hitching rails, and trailheads within the site. In fact, only campers with horses are allowed to camp here. Most sites are shaded, and flush toilets and potable water are provided, as well as group camping facilities and a pavilion. Roads and spurs are gravel, but have good access for trailers and trucks. Gorgeous mountain views are plentiful from each site within this campground.

Nearby Fish Lake has good splake and rainbow trout fishing, but the lake is famous for its 20-40 pound Mackinaw lake trout. Johnson Lake is another option for fishing, and is located 1/2 mile north. Johnson and Fish Lakes both have boat ramps. Fish Lake also has boat rentals, a marina, fuel, groceries, dining establishments, and fishing/camping supplies. The 275-mile Paiute ATV Trail loops through beautiful aspen forests and mountain meadows, and is suitable for all riding levels, and nearly 800 additional miles of marked side trails can be found in this trail system. Mytoge Mountain Trail, a 25-mile hiking/biking loop, offers everything from easy cruising to challenging singletrack as it circles Fish Lake, making it friendly for all. Scuba diving is also very popular at Fish Lake due to its crystal clear waters.
