Currant Creek Campground is situated next to Currant Creek Reservoir at an elevation of 8000 feet. The campground offers scenic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The campground is shaded by Aspen, fir and lodgepole pine trees, creating a heavily forested atmosphere.
Fishing is a popular activity, the reservoir is home to Rainbow, cutthroat and brown trout. There is also a wheelchair-accessible fishing pier. Canoeing and kayaking are allowed on the reservoir, and a nearby playground gives a place for the kids to go.
There are extensive, horse, ATV, hiking and biking trails in the area. One trail makes a loop around the reservoir, while others are more mountainous trails.
