Fishing for cutthroat and brook trout in Sparks Lake; fly fishing only, with barbless hooks. Water levels may get quite low late in the summer and make access by boat difficult. A short hiking trail crosses the lava and connects the two sections of the lake. A day use area with a boat ramp is at the south end of the lake.
