Located in north central Minnesota, near the town of Walker. The campground is adjacent to Leech Lake in a forested area with many large oak, elm, maple, and ash trees over 100 years old. Facilities include restrooms, showers, sanitary dump station, boat ramp, and 24 reservable sites and 20 first-come, first served sites with electricity. Popular activities include fishing and bird watching. Firewood is available at the campground.
Stony Point Campground is on the south side of Leech Lake and is managed by the Forest Service. There is a Corps of Engineers campground on the north side of Leech Lake called Leech Lake Rec Area.
