Camp Details:

Campground is hilly and had a fire burn through in 2005. Consequently the first half of the campground has no shade. But the back half has pinon pines and junipers. The very back of the campground has sites along the ridge with a great view of the Mojave desert.

The park service does not recommend motorhomes for this campground, but I've seen plenty of them in the first half of the campground. Would not recommend the back half for RVs.

Expect the temperatures to be about 10 degrees cooler than in Baker, Calif. and windier along the ridge.
