This county campground is practically in Lone Pine. It runs along either side of Tuttle Creek.  There are mature shade trees. The campground is down in the creek bed/wash and has no good views, but a quick climb up brings good views of the Sierras.  Campground is open year around.

Via U.S. 395, turn west in Lone Pine on Whitney Portal Road, 1-mile to Tuttle Creek Road, turn south to campground entrance.
