Group picnic facilities consist of nine separate family picnic sites surrounded by mature aspen trees at 8,000 feet elevation. Picnic tables, cooking grills, potable water, toilets, and a large parking area are provided. Hiking trails located nearby at "Roads End" trailhead. Interpretive trail is available a short distance from the picnic area. The area is popular for weddings, church services, family reunions, and company picnics. The site accommodates a maximum of 75 people and 17 vehicles.

Located in northeast Nevada 35 miles southeast of Elko. Take I-80 to any Elko exit. Head south to Idaho St. on Idaho St. turn south on 12th from east, or 5th, form west, to SR 227. Go 25 miles on SR 227 to FS 660 Lamoille Canyon Scenic Byway. 10 miles on FS 660 to picnic area.
