A local favorite, Payson Lakes Campground is nestled in a thickly forested area with stands of aspen and fir trees. Resting at an elevation of 8,000 feet, the campground is on the shores of three lakes: McClelland, Box and Big East Lake.

The area is full of activity, with hiking and biking trails, fishing, horseback riding, swimming and (non-motorized) boating. There is also a paved walking and jogging path around the lake for campers to enjoy. The area is located just off at National Scenic Byway, about 12 miles from Payson, Utah

From Payson, Utah, exit 250, go south on Main Street to junction with Highway 6. Turn left and go 1/2 mile to Nebo Scenic Road. Turn right on 600 East, campground is just north of Payson Lakes.
