Plowman Creek Campground on the west side of Lake Whitney is located in Central Texas on the main stem of the Brazos River. Over two million people visit Whitney Lake each year to enjoy camping, fishing, boating, water skiing, hunting, sight-seeing, and much more. The campground offers a total of 44 campsites with water and/or electric hookups. An equestrian area provides a trail head including optional overnight camping for riders at the park. Additional amenities include two restrooms with warm water showers, a boat ramp and dump station.
