Located 36 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho. Situated in a ponderosa pine forest, on a hillside. Some shade is available. There are level parking sites. A historic mining town is just 2 miles away. Campground host is available on site. This campground consists of 2 separate units, a "family sites" area with 18 units, 3 of which are "double sites" (up to 15 people at once) and the rest single family sites, and a "group use" area located about 1/4 mile above the family campground, consisting of 2 separate sites, A and B. Site A can hold up to 150 persons, site B can handle up to 100 persons. Both group sites may be reserved by the same group. At the family site campground there is one handpump well and 2 single toilets. At the group site there is one handpump well and a double (male/female) toilet facility. Grayback campground has no specific security measures in place. The campground hosts are located directly across the road from the campground and can view most of the campground from that spot. When necessary, Boise County Sheriff can be contacted for support.
