Whether you are looking for a place to get away and relax or looking for adventure, Spruces campground offers both. Set in a large open meadow near Silver Lake, Spruces Campground rests at an elevation of 7500 feet in Big Cottonwood Canyon.

The Canyon offer several soaring peaks, pristine hidden lakes, rivers and streams. There are various mountain biking and hiking trails in the vicinity that offer easy-to-moderate challenge. The popular hike to Silver Lake is near the campground.

In addition to the activities, the canyon is known for its spectacular show of wildflowers in late summer and painting of bright autumn colors in the fall. There is also fishing access and interpretive walks in the immediate area.

From Highway 215 take 6200 south exit, go eastbound for 1 mile to Wasatch Blvd. Take Wasatch Blvd. 1 mile south to junction with Big Cottonwood Canyon Highway (Highway 190). Make a left at the junction and follow the Big Cottonwood Canyon Highway for 9.7 miles to the Spruces Campground.
