This campground sustained major fire damage in 2002, and has since been rebuilt but there is no shade. Situated at an elevation of 6000 feet in the rolling terrain near the Flaming Gorge Reservoir, Dripping Springs is surrounded by activities. It is close to Little Hole Picnic area and Boat Site on the Green River.
The area is known not only for its beautiful and startling red cliffs, but also its world class fishing. Lake, brown and rainbow trout fishing, boating, swimming and scuba diving are also available at the reservoir. River rafting on the Green is also spectacular, with the red cliff walls rising on both sides.
The dam at the reservoir offers guided tours every hour of the working hydroelectric plant and the history of the area. The Fenley Dinosaur Area is also a popular attraction for those interested in learning the history of the area.
This campground is open year round, with reservations available during the season between mid-May and the first week in October. There are several single family sites, and 4 group sites available.
