Located 16 miles from Foresthill on Sugar Pine Reservoir, this campground is at an elevation of 3700 feet . Giant Gap has 30 single campsites, set in a cedar and pine forest overlooking the water. Days are warm to hot and nights are cool. Campers come here to fish, hike, bike, swim, and boat. Do not confuse this campground with Sugar Pine Point. This campground is located near Foresthill City.

Directions (Google Directions):

Take Interstate 80 to the Foresthill/Auburn Exit near Auburn. Continue east 17 miles to Foresthill. Travel through town about 9 miles to Forest Road 10 / Sugar Pine Road. Turn left and go about 9 miles. Look for the Sugar Pine Rec. Area sign. Turn right on the first road after the sign and continue about 1.5 miles to the campground area. The road ends at Shirttail and Giant Gap Campgrounds
