Landon cabin is a primitive cabin located in the southern portion of the Gravelly range, near the Centennial Mountains, six miles north of the Red Rock Wildlife Refuge. It is reached only with high clearance, four-wheel drive vehicles. Landon is a one-room cabin with propane stove and lights, wood stove for heat. There is no water. Located 50 miles south of Ennis Montana. High clearance and four-wheel drive vehicle is required. Winter access by snowmobile or cross country skis. The SW MT interagency visitor/travel east half map is necessary to locate route and cabin. The map may be purchased by calling the Madison ranger district at 406-682-4253.
