As camper I find it critical that my files go where I do and are always safe. What if I my laptop or tablet or phone gets stolen, dropped, wet, etc and stop working? I still need to be able to work and access my files regardless of where I am. What if you want to be able to access the same files on your computer, tablet and phone? Well I can when I save my files in the cloud by using google drive.

The problem is I run the linux operating system, which google does not support. Yet, Insync does support linux along with Windows, Mac, Android and IOS.

Insync, is a startup offering an alternative to the Google Drive desktop client. You can add and Sync multiple Google Drive accounts under one client. You can right click any file within the Insync directory and share, without a browser. You can view and edit Google documents even when offline in Office format. The changes get synced back too.

You can put files in Google Drive and access them on your desktop, mobile phone, tablet, and drive.google.com. You just need to make changes to a file in one place and it automatically updates everywhere, so your file is safe even when your computer/device gets stolen or broken. You can get started with 15gb of free storage or pay google a small fee to get lots more space.

Stop worrying about what files you need to talk with you on that trip or what will happen if you lose your phone, laptop or tablet. All you need to do is use google drive and insync together.
(Full disclosure: I am receiving a free insync account in trade for this post, but I do use this service in every day life.)
