I’ve been asked to run a blog series adapted from a Kamp Kitchen series on InsaneScouter.org. This post is the first of that series.
In the future, I will be publishing blogs relating to the camping kitchen, food storage and more. Expect to see topics such as:
  • utensils
  • dishes
  • pots and pans and Dutch ovens
  • stoves
  • seasonings
  • cutting
  • general hygiene
  • keeping a clean outdoor kitchen
  • water
  • kitchen first aid
  • tables and other work surfaces
  • coolers
  • transporting your kitchen to camp
  • packing everything up
This blog series is intended to be about the outdoor kitchen. The kitchen could be just a single burner for one camper, the Zen place for (like me) a mom who wants to give her family wholesome meals, or a place to feed hundreds of hungry campers. By covering sections of the outdoor kitchen topic by topic I hope more people will be inspired to get outdoors and start – or get back to – camping. And, while the original series did not include recipes, I might just throw in one or two now and again for fun.  And maybe, just maybe, I'll add a picture of my camp kitchen too.  (Heaven forbid!)

Please feel free to leave me comments if there is a specific topic you would like to see in this series! A blogger is only as good as her audience and I want to know what you like to do and use in your camping trips.

Until tomorrow, happy camping!
Jen
